    On the water you'll enjoy cruises, rendezvous, sail races, navigation contests, fishing derbies, rafting, predicted log contests and more. Ashore you'll enjoy marine programs, parties, dinner dances, picnics, and educational programs. 
   USPS port captains help visiting members with local knowledge about route planning, water conditions, anchorages, marinas and more.  And USPS members can receive discounts on most boat insurance policies.

Share with your community
    Our members help the National Ocean Service keep nautical charts accurate by reporting chart corrections.  They also participate in the Vessel Safety Check (VSC) program, which helps boaters identify missing, damaged and/or malfunctioning safety equipment. 
   USPS squadrons offer boating safety courses to the public throughout the year.  Over the past 50 years, USPS has educated over 4 million boaters.

   - To abide by the bylaws of the United States Power Squadrons
   - To promote high standards of navigation and seamanship
   - To maintain my boat and operate it legally
   - To render assistance whenever possible
   - To conduct myself in a manner that will add prestige, honor, and respect to the United States Power Squadron

Here's what an active membership requires:   
   - Being willing to contribute time, energy, and skills to USPS objectives
   - Being at least 18 years of age
   - Being sponsored by a squadron member and approved by the executive committee
   - Paying applicable dues and fees
